Business Community Engagement Collaborative: Leading Locally - Research on Small Businesses and Social Change

Companies of any size, their employes and their stakeholders can drive transformative social change when they work at the intersection of community needs, employee interests, and company resources and priorities. This session will provide an overview of trends on small businesses and community engagement.
Participants will:
  • Learn about national and local small business research trends focusing on community engagement
  • Connect with community-minded professionals for relationship building and best practice sharing on community engagement
The Business Community Engagement Collaborative is a network designed to support individuals who are interested in spearheading a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program within their business, those who are new to community engagement practitioner roles, and business leaders who want to strategically engage their employees – and leverage their resources – in the community. We’ll convene quarterly for learning opportunities that will help us collectively build a stronger and more vibrant Richmond region.
